Jared, yes but, you would need the correct mounting plate Sir. This open reflex Romeo3 sight is the ideal sighting solution for MSR rifles since it has a Picatinny Mounting System (which can be removed to attach to a Pistol's Optics Plate : https://www.midwayusa.com/product/101738143
Yes the Romeo 3 will mount to a full size 1911 you will either need a dovetail optics mounting plate (dovetail mounts are not ideal) with a romeo1 footprint. Or you'll need to have the slide milled to accept an optic with a romeo1 footprint. The slide milling cost a little more but is a much more solid system plus you don't lose your rear back up iron sights. Id look into Primary Machine or Jaegerworks for slide milling
