Sam, I have several Taurus Spectrum's that I bought for my wife and daughter's and they are medium effort to rack. They have no issues with racking. The black area at the rear of the slide is rubber for a better grip as well. They get even easier to rack as the pistol breaks in. Cheers and stay safe!
