Stuart, he likely will Sir. Once he receives and logs it into his inventory before transfer, It's his until the transfer so just call them to arrange a time frame. He should have no issues with this. Cheers and stay safe!
Only your ffl can answer this for sure, my FFL still has my AK47 which arrived almost 2 weeks ago. But I don't see any reason why they wouldn't. They get a fee for doing the transfer, so hed be throwing money away for not holding it. Id give them a call and let them know just so they don't think something happened to you.
