David, this shotgun is not drilled and tapped for scope mounting but you can fire slugs through it.

No they aren't drilled or tapped. And I own exact same model in 12ga and .410. They are fine to fire 3" slugs. This 12ga Hatfield has the most recoil I have ever felt, ever! I imagine the 20ga will pack a punch too. Not the best guns, but they always shoot and the price is unbeatable.
My range only allows slug use and that's all I've fired through my Hatfield's to this day. Probably 50rds through each at this point and they are going strong. Again, totally identical, fixed choke and all. Single shots break action with no ejector. Got them for $99.99 each at wally world
