It's neither Gen 5 nor Gen 4. It is more like GEN 4.5 The barrel of G19X is the same as Gen 5, however, G19X is not listed as Gen 5 and is considered as a spin-off of Gen 4 (It got Gen 4 slide). Most people will consider it as Gen 5 however. I hope this helps!

This is a Gen5 these have no finger grooves, the Glock marksman barrel, Glock night sights all indicative of the Gen5. From glocks own description of this upc " The GLOCK 19X enjoys the same design improvements as the other new Gen5 pistols, making it innovative on all fronts, but it also features a number of firsts and is destined to absolutely be one of GLOCK's most popular offerings to date."
