The 8302 has a different color (green) fiber optic front sight, which are day glo, and highly visible in the daytime, the 8301 also has fiber optic front site (orange). Other then that it the same rifle.

Ronald, just the Sight Options.  8301 has a Williams fiber optic Orange front sight and 10/22-style adjustable, "V" slot, folding-leaf rear sight and 8302 has Adjustable Fiber Optic Green front Sight. Cheers and stay safe!
