The main difference is the loaded chamber indicator and a magazine disconnect safety. It also features microstamping in the striker. I hope this helps!
Joel, the only difference is the CA required Tactile Loaded Chamber Indicator (Little red lever above ejection port) and Magazine Disconnect Safety (Won't fire with the Mag out of the pistol). Cheers and stay safe!
The CA model has a loaded chamber indicator that is tactile and visible (you can see it, or if in the dark you can run your finger over the top of the slide and feel the tab raised letting you know there is a round in the chamber.) Where the non CA model has a witness hole that just let's you look in the top of the slide to see there's a bullet in the chamber. The CA model also has a magazine disconnect (it won't fire when the magazine is not inserted, even if there's a round in the chamber) these are all "safety " features mandated by CA politicians that know nothing about firearms or their safe handling.
