Kenneth, many left handed folk shoot right handed AR's without any critical issues(Mainly experienced folks). I would suggest if you are a lefty, to find a suitable LH AR as your learning curve will be much more enjoyable with no compromises in operation..
Kenneth there are lots of left handed AR's, I would find one made for left handed people.

Not bad if you can take a few occasional pieces of brass to the head. LH ARs are sold by Buds, but you'll have to pay a premium sadly. I truly think lefties are generally more intelligent then right handed people, yet you guys get screwed in so many parts of life. I'm a Righty thank God, but my dad, sister, and brother share your pain.
