I'm not sure what specific firearm you are talking about. But generally, my semi-auto shotguns all shoot 7/8 oz loads just fine. As long it's not a low brass under load shell you won't have a problem at all. I hope this helps!

Joe, no Sir it will be the opposite. I find the lighter payload cycles slightly faster and I get slightly faster recovery for follow up shots. This, I suspect, is due to slightly less recoil.
