YES, 1oz will cycle better. However, after lubrication and run some heavier loads as suggested for break-in... Benelli sport II will run 7/8 oz or target load perfectly fine. I hope this helps!

Joe, no Sir it will be the opposite. I find the lighter payload cycles slightly faster and I get slightly faster recovery for follow up shots. This, I suspect, is due to slightly less recoil.
