Robert, the 300 RUM will have better ballistics at a given bullet weight at an average 300RUM w. 230gr @ 3100+ fps and 
.300 PRC w. 225gr @ 2900 fps.  I would select the one with the mot available ammunition/brass. Cheers and stay safe!
