The Century arms VSKA is not permitted in MD as James pointed out a handgun must be on the MD approved handgun roster ( because the barrel of the VSKA is under 16" it is classified as a pistol by the ATF) and in addition. To this Maryland classifies all AK's as "Assault weapons" and has an across the board ban on them. "List of Specified Regulated / Banned 'Assault Weapons': This list is not exhaustive and is only what was provided by state of Maryland legislation. These specified firearms and their copiesare prohibited.
