NOT a takedown rifle. Well, you can technically takedown any AR15 by removing the pin and separate upper and lower receiver...but this is not a takedown rifle in the same sense as an SR556 takedown rifle. YES, it will take quad rail. I do recommend you also look at PSA AR15 rifle...they might be better. I hope this helps!

It is not specifically a "Take down rifle" but there are only 2 pins you need to push out to separate the upper an lower receiver, and there are no tools needed to do so, you can use the nose of a 556/223 cartridge. And yes there are several quadrails that willfit this rifle as is, or if you want to run any hanguard you can fairly easily replace the front gas block with a low profile gas block. As to reliability my Ruger 556 has over 1,000 rounds through it with XM193, M855, and some federal frangible ammo, as well as a couple different brands of hollow points and I have had 100% reliability.

Haha just read Trins response PSA rifles are decent but I'd not take a PSA over a Ruger ever.

William, the Ruger 5.56 is reliable and is a standard platform AR-15 and not a true take-down model although it is modular and the upper and lower can be stored separated.
