Martin, yes this will shoot 2 3/4" ammunition as well as 3". There should be no issues as long as you use the recommended ammo stated in the owners manual. For example, some might suggest only using shells that are 1300 fps or greater. Some shotguns are finicky with ammo, so you may have to experiment with different loads until you find what the gun prefers.
Martin, yes Sir. 3 inch Chambered Shotguns will fire 3 inch or shorter shells no issue similar to a .357 Magnum being able to fire .38 Special. I would suggest buying small batches of ammo first to make sure it runs in your shotgun and then stocking up afterwards. Cheers and stay safe!
