The light primer strikes are due to clearance issue between the firing pin and the trigger block. Once the two are polished the problem goes away. I have sent my gun back to Diamond Back twice. It took 10 weeks each time but they repaired the gun. The last time, the tab that holds the recoil spring broke off rendering the gun useless. The replaced the slide with a stainless steel slide. So far so good. I hope this helps others.

And a free stainless slide may make it worth it, glad they treated you right with that. I remember when DiamondBack was so popular for a awhile, but they have dropped out of favor for this exact reason- quality, quality, quality. Then to make you wait 10weeks! I've heard of a few longer, but most other manufacturers get them back to you in half that time. I really like the idea of the DB9, but because of the reviews and stories like yours, I won't take a chance (not even for $200). Hope yours holds up.
