Hello I just recently bought from Buds guns a Ruger AR 556 . My question is the model I bought is 8529R what is the difference between a 8529R and a 8529 ? What does the R signify?

NO difference. I check the UPC # with other retailers and 8529R shows up as 8529. So it seems that Buds just add R randomly to the product model. I hope this helps!

Richard, Bud's 8529R and the 8529 on Ruger's web site have the same UPC number, there is no difference.
