Andrew, no Sir, the Shockwave is not legal in CA. Anything that chambers a shotgun shell and has a barrel less than 18", is considered a Short Barrel Shotgun in CA. Cheers and stay safe!

The only source I could find that states you can't have a Shockwave in CA, reddit and forum threads from 2017, nothing official on CA DOJ website and nothing in Buds CA compliance section https://www.budsgunshop.com/feeds/state_reg/california_restrictions.pdf I'd contact a local FFL or the DOJ directly rather then take the word of random people on reddit. Andrew, unfortunately no. CA considers the Shockwave to be a short barreled shotgun.
