Michael, Some times you get feed problems and you can also get a "burn ring or carbon ring" where the case and bullet separate. causing extraction problems when you switch to longer ammo.

All will cycle. The shorter rounds (22Long and 22Short) will build up carbon over a period of about 50 to 75rds. This only becomes a concern if you plan on switching back over to 22LR during the same shooting session. You can shoot either Short or long all day, nut when you switch back to a longer 22 just do a quick barrel throat clean.
