Smith & Wesson M&P15-22 .22 LR Pistol
Darryl, the rail size is a standard 1913 Picatinny Rail and is for the actual mount. The 20mm or 30mm is solely the diameter of the actual red dot tube size and has nothing to do with the mounting on the Rail. Cheers and stay safe!

For such a short barrel in 22lr you're best of running redot/reflex sight where height over bore doesn't really matter, i like the sig romeo5 on my 22LR's and they include a high mount and a low mount that attach directly to a mil standard pic rail like the one on the AR22.
