Aaren, you can arrange for the firearm to be shipped from your local FFL if it is a handgun. If they already have Buds FFL copy on file it should not cost more than $40 to $50 dollars. A nonlicensee may not transfer a firearm to a non-licensed resident of another State. A nonlicensee may mail a shotgun or rifle to a resident of his or her own State or to a licensee in any State. The Postal Service recommends that long guns be sent by registered mail and that no marking of any kind which would indicate the nature of the contents be placed on the outside of any parcel containing firearms. Handguns are not mailable. A common or contract carrier must be used to ship a handgun.
It's cheaper through shipmygun.com. I think that's the name of it anyway. You can also have buds send a prepaid box and label. They get a better rate and I think it was 35 bucks last time I did it but that was before the shipmygun came out.
It usually cost 35-40 dollars to ship a gun ups or fed ex depending on the size and weight of your gun. Hope this helps
