Ron, it is a single action that shoots one at a time. Pull the hammer back before each shot.

It shoots one round at a time. There are two firing pins, one for each barrel each time you pull the hammer back there's a small flat bar that moves up and down on the hammer into position to hit which ever pin it's aligned for. Either the top barrel or the lower barrel
