This is a pistol, if a barrel is shorter then 16" it must be classified as a pistol and equipped with a brace instead of a stock or registered as an SBR with the ATF. If you wanted "rifle" features on this such as a vertical grip and a traditional stock your need to apply for and recieve a tax stamp authorization from the ATF, TLthis is a long expensive process. So most just keep the pistol set up
