For simplicity and ease of repair and maintenance Glock is hard to beat. You can be a Glock Armorer with very few tools. The SIG P series is a very reliable weapon but not easy to completely disassemble in the field. The CZ 85 Combat or the Shadow is another very rugged pistol. Easier to maintain than the SIG but not as easy as the Glock. If I was to have one pistol that I had to use and repair in the field it would be the Glock 17. My competiton and carry pistols are CZ's and SIGs but I have my own shop to repair them at.
