James, it appears the gun can fire when closing the action if proper precautions are not taken. Taken from the owners manual--- "WHEN PULLING DOWN ON THE LEVER TO OPEN THE BARRELS, THE HAMMERS ARE BEING COCKED AND THE FIRING PINS ARE RETRACTED INSIDE THE FRAME.DO NOT PULL THE TRIGGERS WHEN THE BARRELS ARE OPEN.THIS WILL CAUSE THE FIRING PINS TO STAY EXTENDED OUT FROM THE BREECH'S FACE AND WHEN CLOSING THE BARRELS CAN CAUSE THE FIREARM TO SLAM FIRE AND/OR DAMAGE THE FIRING PINS." it is safe if proper procedures are followed
yes the inserts fit and work fine it is safe if the proper procedures are followed WHEN PULLING DOWN ON THE LEVER TO OPEN THE BARRELS, THE HAMMERS ARE BEING COCKED AND THE FIRING PINS ARE RETRACTED INSIDE THE FRAME. DO NOT PULL THE TRIGGERS WHEN THE BARRELS ARE OPEN. THIS WILL CAUSE THE FIRING PINS TO STAY EXTENDED OUT FROM THE BREECH'S FACE AND WHEN CLOSING THE BARRELS CAN CAUSE THE FIREARM TO SLAM FIRE AND/OR DAMAGE THE FIRING PINS. ALWAYS CHECK WHEN CLOSING THE BARRELS THAT THE FIRING PINS ARE NOT EXTENDED OUT OF THE BREECH'S FACE. page 3 owners manual https://www.chiappafirearms.com/uploadimmagini/altrimanuali_documento_43.pdf
