Walter, no Sir, this is designed to react to the power of a 22 Long Rifle bullet/velocity. BB or Pellet guns can be used but, will not have sufficient power to activate. cheers and stay safe!

You can use bbs but they won't have enough energy to make the target swing. I have one and use it with 22lr. If you do buy one I'd be careful with ricochets.
