Alexandra, unfortunately no. A Semi-Auto Handgun with the Capacity to accept a detachable magazine outside the pistol grip is restricted. Details under Handguns here : https://www.budsgunshop.com/feeds/state_reg/illinois_restrictions.pdf
sorry its not legal ✘ Capacity to accept a detachable magazine outside the pistol grip ✘ Capacity to accept a detachable magazine outside the pistol grip
YES, this is LEGAL. While other community members might say that this is illegal, that is true only to Cook County, Arora, and Highland Park who have AWBS (assualt weapon ban laws). Check with your local FFL but you should be fine since Madison county does not have AWB like the three counties listed. Check laws HERE ( https://www.budsgunshop.com/feeds/state_reg/illinois_restrictions.pdf ) I hope this helps!
So im.not a resident of IL but the way I read the Illinois restrictions are that a greater then 10 round magazine is not permitted, this is only available with a 50 rd magazine. Id check with a local ffl as they will know you specific laws better then we will.
