single double action is that the hammer can be cocked and used as a single action IE trigger causes hammer to fall or it can be fired double action where the longer heavier trigger pull brings the hammer back and then lets it fall IE 2 actions hammer back and then released so a SA/DA can be fired either way

All shots will be double action, unless you pull the hammer back to the cocked position, which will put it in single action for one shot only. Which is good for if you have a precision shot to make, but for defensive encounters, multiple shots would be a string of longer, heavier double action trigger pulls.
