I shoot a sig P229 in 40 and it is one of my favorite guns I prefer the sa/da action of the sig over the striker fired glock. Glock is a good reliable gun but the sig p series guns have better fit and finish as well ad being metal construction. the sig P2022 is also a very good option
I'd personally pick the sig saur just cause I'm not too fond of Glocks. A great sig in 9mm is the sig p365 xl. Or the sig 226.
The SIG will have a far better trigger out of the box, but Glock has way more aftermarket accessories, I mean you can customize and trick out literally every part of a glock and there many many options to choose from. Glocks grip angle is a little different then most pistols so it can feel a little awkward if your used to firing a different brand, but a few magazines in and you'll not even notice anymore. They both make accurate reliable firearms with great warranties, you really can't go astray either. Me personally I'd go with the Glock as an aftermarket APEX trigger is every bit as good as anything sig puts out. And SIG while they make good products their morals are a bit lacking, Google " P320 P)r0blems" or P365 P)r0blems" and if you read enough into it you will see sig used their customers (including police departments) as unknown beta testers. Which is immoral and I choose not support companies like that, but the P229 has been out for awhile and is actually a decent gun.
Leland, either works regardless the price. I would mosey on down to a local brick and mortar gun store and handle these and make a decision from there. Sig folks will say Sig, Glock folks will say Glock. After you have handled these, you will know what is the right decision for you and not someone else. Cheers and stay safe!
