Yes you can use slugs and saying dont use a full choke is a myth rifled slugs will give you your best accuracy accuracy most ly will be best with a more open choke but full is safe to shoot slugs through. I would avoid the sabot slugs as the are ment for a rifled barrel and are not usually accurate in a smoothbore
