Frank, it is not even close to being NY compliant. Even without the magazine, it has 5 of the 11 'evil' features, of which you're allowed one. Telescoping stock, flash hider, threaded barrel, bayonet lug, and pistol grip. https://www.budsgunshop.com/feeds/state_reg/new_york_restrictions.pdf
