Mossberg's SA-20 uses a smooth cycling, gas-operated system for a lightweight, soft-shooting shotgun perfect for both hunting and target shooting. This All Purpose Field model has a walnut buttstock and forend with a 14.5″ LOP/length of pull, 26″ vent rib barrel with a matte blued metal finish, and a metal bead front sight- copied from Google. A small statue woman shouldn't have a problem handling this it's 6.5 pounds so the recoil shouldn't be too horrible. Only thing I'd recommend is I don't believe this has a recoil pad, but you can buy what they call a limb saver that slips right over the butt of the stock too help soften the recoil. Hope this helps.
it is a full size 20 ga shotgun with a 14.5 inch LOP. if you have the stock cut to fit properly and stay with 2 3/4 inch 7/8loads the recoil will not give her a problem. If the lop is not correct (to long) it will cause her to lean back so she can mount the gun increasing felt recoil. please teach her to lean INTO the gun (foward)
