The sights are changeable and are Novak style. To add a red dot though you'd have to send it to the manufacturer or qualified gun Smith to have the slide cut to accept red dots. They do make red dot mounting plates that replace your rear iron sight to accept red dots. They sell Novak style 1911 red dot mounts on Amazon or several other sites. Hope this helps.
