Yes, standard 1911 Magazines will fit/function just fine Thomas.

The correct magazine is the OFFICERS size 1911 magazines the standard will work but will extend below the bottom of the grip

If you want flush fit then the Officer mags are it. You can use standard 1911 magazines. One thing to note is that you only insert the longer mags in until the lock in so you don't damage your ejector by over-insertion. There are several manufactures like "Wilson" that make 8rd magazines specifically for the shortened grip of the 1911 Officer model.
