No, 45 acp and 45 super are two different calibers. 45 super is a higher velocity than 45 acp and wouldn't be safe to fire. it's safe to fire 45acp in a 45 super but not vice versa. Sorry and hope this helps.

Shaun, on the Springfield XD(M) for occasional shooting, just load it up. For more than a few boxes, add a heavier recoil spring to protect the frame. Then some extra power mag springs for feeding reliability with the faster slide motion with the heavier recoil springs. Cheers and stay safe!
