It's a faux suppressor but it's only for looks really doesn't serve a purpose. Some fake suppressors throw gases and sound forward making it sound quieter but don't actually lower the decibel level. So it's pretty much just for looks and won't require a tax stamp or wait period or any of the paperwork involved for suppressors. Hope this helps.
