The pistol grip and stock are plastic but the receiver and handguard are aluminum.
The upper and lower receiver are aluminum. the only plastic on this it the stock and pistol grip, everything else is some kind of metal. I don't own one but I've heard some pretty good reviews on diamond back AR's. Hope this helps.
