Eugene, it will take 3 inch and shorter 2 3/4 shells without issue. Same concept as a .357 Magnum Revolver being able to fire the shorter .38 Special loads. Cheers and stay safe!

This shotgun has 3" chamber and can chamber and fire 2¾" and 3" with no problem

Shotguns with 3 inch Chambers like this can also take 2-3/4 inch shells. So yes, you are good to go. Hope this helps.
