No, striker fired pistol can be both single and double. Actually think majority of them are double action. I own this pistol and it's a great concealed carry pistol, very accurate. Right out of the box the trigger pulls little long and heavy but after initial break in it gets better. Plus mcarbo has a trigger spring weight reduction kit that helps reduce the weight alot and makes it a pretty decent trigger. Some people prefer the long heavy double action pull cause when adrenaline's going it can keep you from accidentally pulling the trigger and gives you an extra second to think about things.
