Donnell, the CA pistol grip with the fin has never been approved in NJ. NJ definition of a pistol grip on a rifle—. "Pistol grip" means a well-defined handle, similar to that found on a handgun, that pro-trudes conspicuously beneath the action of the weapon". I would not want to be the one to test the law. Along with the threaded barrel, that makes this non-compliant in NJ. You can check with your local FFL to be sure, but from what I've read, the grip w/fin does not make it NJ compliant.
