Peter, yes Sir. This shotgun has a 3 inch Chamber and can fire the shorter 2 3/4 inch shells no worries. Same concept as a .357 Mag revolver being able to fire the shorter .38 Special cartridge. Cheers and stay safe!
Yes this'll function just fine with 2¾" rounds, it'll take up to 3" magnum loads, but 2¾ is the standard.
Just watched a video review of this shotgun (same operating system different furniture) And at 2:20 he says out of the box its set up specifically to run 2¾", and that it comes with a Removable gas plug that needs to be installed prior to shooting 3" shells reliably. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2xwbso2Tv3g
Yes, 3 inch chambered shotguns can handle 2-3/4 inch shells. In a semi automatic low velocity shells might not cycle the bolt all the way back but shouldn't have any issues. Hope this helps.
Peter, it has a 3" chamber, which means it will take either 3" or 2 3/4" shells. Have a great day!
It will be fine with MOST 2 3/4 inch loads however many of them do not work well with the lighter 1 oz target loads
