This is a rifle. It has a 14.5 inch barrel with a permanent pinned and welded flash hider. Hope this helps.

I'm gonna answer twice like Randy, if the muzzle device is fixed (pinned, welded, etc) then the lenght of the muzzle device is factored in to the overall lenght of the barrel. The OAL on this barrel/muzzle device are over 16" and it is therefore classified as a rifle.

Lawrence, it is considered a rifle. This 14.5" rifle chambered in 5.56mm features a pinned and welded Nanoweapon coated Surefire Closed-Tine Flash Hider mounted to an in-house 14.5" durable black oxide coated, Cold Hammer Forge, Chrome Lined, 1-7 twist Geissele barrel.
