The new 686 + .357 L frames are produced with a round butt.

They are round butt and I love the grips however they are just a bit small for my hand. If you want larger or just plain prefer square butt it will likely fit the conversion grip manufactured by Hogue but with S&W medallion. Last I saw the compatibility list is quite outdated and it fits many more S&W revolvers than are explicitly listed. S&W forums can probably confirm compatibility.
