I had to Google this because I've never heard of anyone claiming HKs of any model to have subpar workmanship. Any gun can have dеfects but more often then not VP9s are solid i have several thousand rounds through mine and have had 0 hiccups of any kind, no ffe, no ftf, no issues with the fit or finish Nothing my VP9 is an absolute tank, and is the pistol in my nightstand, if by some chance you bought one and had issues I'm 100% certain HK would fix the issue no question, but then again I've never had to test that theory as I've never had anything go wrоng with mine, I also have buddies that have VP9s (SK, VP9L, 2020vp9, and even a P30) and between all I've never once heard of them having any issue or any kind of dеfect . HK is used by police and military around the world, id stake my life on my VP9, and if there have been any issues HK will certainly have had them fixed, I mean their not Sig Sauer.
When the new HK micro 9 comes out in October I'm one of the HK fan boys that'll buy it on the spot, and I have total faith that It will be durable reliable. And if somehing should go wrоng i know they'll fix it
never heard of this issue I would not have any worries buying a HK because if they did have a issue they would stand behind the gun and fix it
Jennifer, I think these may have been just a tiny fraction of Quality control issues with H&K and other manufacturers trying to keep up with the recent and current demand. Things have somewhat settled down now. H&K would no undoubtedly take care of any issue you may experience. Cheers and stay safe!
