Yes, this is made of polymer. Personally I'd spend a couple extra bucks and get a metal/aluminum lower but that's just me. I know plenty of people and couple manufacturers use polymer lowers for AR-15s but Don't think I'd use one on anything above a 22. I've heard of several breaking and a good sayings buy once cry once.
