Yes it will however I suggest you try mounting the scope with it front sight on as in my experience you will not notice the front sight when the scope is mounted

Yes, normally they'll replace them with a railed gas block to help keep the delta ring on and to add a back up front sight if you wanted. You could always cut the post off for the cheaper option if you don't mind ruining the front post sight and just keep the gas block portion on. Hope this helps.
Robert, yes it will, but you don't have to remove the front sight to mount a scope, you will not see the sight with proper magnification even though they are on the same plane. I have a scope on my AR15 with the A2 front sight, works great with no issues. Google 'mounting a scope with A2 front sight'.
