Yes the capacity is correct if using 3 inch (4+1) shells if using 2.75 inch shells it will hold 5 +1

(4) -3 inch shells or (5)-2-3/4 inch shells. Hope this helps.

Richard, the XX3 has a 3" Chamber (Also Accepts 2-3/4 Shells). The Tube Magazine will accommodate (5) 2 3/4 Shells but only (4) 3 inch shells. Cheers and stay safe!
