Dan, your choice Sir as the 16.2" Cold Hammer Forged Barrel is Threaded 1/2x28 so the Faux or a standard thread protector would protect the threads until you get the actual suppressor. Cheers and stay safe!

The fake suppressor is covering the barrel. It is a barrel shroud that is covering a 16.2" barrel, there are some youtube videos that show it, and it looks goofy without the shroud on there. There is NO advantage to getting the fake suppressor version, other then if you like the look of it.
