Ronnie, Both Sir. The barrel is stamped 5.56 so it will shoot the higher pressure 5.56 and the lower pressure .223. If stamped .223 you would only shoot .223. Cheers and stay safe!

It can safety shoot both .223 and 5.56 ammo 223 is just a slightly light 5.56 load so you can shoot both 5.56 and .223 in a 5.56 gun but you should not shoot 5.56 in a .223 only gun
