Can't say much for the apx cause haven't owned one have only held one and it's a Beretta, Beretta is definitely a quality brand. Caniks come with a lifetime warranty, people have Done torture tests to them and let's just say it'll most likely hold up for a lifetime from average use and proper care/cleaning. Caniks have been used for awhile now by Turkish military and police so that says something. And perks comes with a nice plastic case, cleaning brush, two magazines, holster, two grip backstaps to accommodate all hand sizes. Like I said from what I know about the Beretta it sounds like a great quality pistol and either one would be a fine Choice, I'd still pick the canik though. If you can I'd recommend going to a range and testing both out, or atleast a shop and try to hold both. Good luck in your choice and hope this helps.
