Yes, this has a 3 inch chamber so will function fine with 2-3/4 inch and 3 inch shells. Hope this helps.

Neil, this shotgun has a 3 inch Chamber and can fire the shorter 2 3/4 inch shells no worries. Same concept as a .357 Mag revolver being able to fire the shorter .38 Special cartridge. Cheers and stay safe!

Neil, having a 3" chamber, it will shoot either 2 3/4" or 3" shells. The capacity is 5 with either shell. There's just not that much difference in length to have a higher capacity with 2 3/4". Have a great day!
